Pick a direction, and go

Action produces information. If you feel like you're stuck, then the way out is just to start doing something. Of course, reflection is necessary and important. But the way out comes from information. To get information, you can't be still.

You have to think a bit about which direction you will go. This is where most people get stuck. It doesn't have to be a grandiose or complex move. It can be a small. Tiny. Step. Anything to keep moving is all it takes to give yourself the chance to get more information that leads to a breakthrough.

If you woke up and you were stuck at sea in a kayak with no signs of land. Would you sit there and wait? No. You would pick a direction and start paddling. Think about this the next time you are overwhelmed. Land will appear if you never stop moving.
